SNAP-8 10mg ( Acetyl Glutamyl Heptapeptide-1 ) is a next-generation biomimetic peptide designed to reduce the depth of expression lines, particularly in the forehead and eye contour area. It derives from the N-terminal fragment of the SNAP-25 protein, an essential component of the SNARE complex involved in neurotransmitter release. Acting as a competitive antagonist of SNAP-25, SNAP-8 modulates the formation of the SNARE complex , reducing the ability of synaptic vesicles to fuse with the neuronal membrane. This leads to a decrease in the release of acetylcholine and, consequently, an attenuation of the muscle contraction responsible for the formation of mimic lines and wrinkles.

Mechanism of action

SNAP-8 10mg acts specifically on the process of cholinergic neurotransmission . Its structure is similar to that of the N terminus of the SNAP-25 peptide, a protein involved in the fusion of vesicles containing neurotransmitters with the presynaptic membrane.
